Feedback Section: Your Reviews and Testimonials

The Feedback section is used to display testimonials, reviews, or customer feedback in a structured layout.

It helps build trust by showing proof from real people, and it can be reused as a shared global section across the site.

Quick Editor Tips

Fill these first: Heading, Feedback Items, Star Rating, Layout Type, Breakpoints.

  • Use real, believable feedback instead of over-polished copy.
  • Keep the layout simple enough for the testimonial text to be readable.
  • Use Website Settings if you want one shared testimonials block reused across pages.
  • Use Local if the page needs custom feedback for a specific context.

What the Feedback Section is For

This section helps support trust, quality, and credibility by showing what customers or clients have said.

You can use it to:

  • display testimonials,
  • show review-style content,
  • add social proof near key decision points,
  • reuse one strong feedback set across multiple pages.

How the Feedback Section Behaves

Like CTA and FAQ, this is a global-capable section with content-source logic.

  • Local – use feedback entered directly in the current section.
  • Website Settings – pull the shared feedback section from Website Settings.

Note: When Website Settings is chosen as the source, some local fields are no longer meant to be edited because the shared version becomes the active content.

The Feedback Section Fields

  • Data Source – chooses local, shared, or disabled behavior.
  • Kicker Text – a small line above the heading.
  • Heading – the main title of the testimonials block.
  • Subheading – a supporting line under the heading.
  • Description – a short rich text intro.
  • Star Rating – controls the star style shown with feedback items.
  • Feedback Items – the repeatable feedback entries.
  • Breakpoints – responsive column settings.
  • Layout Type – lets you choose list or slider behavior.
  • Section Button – an optional button after the feedback block.

Star Rating

This field controls whether star ratings appear and how they look.

You can keep the default stars or use a custom star image or SVG. If enabled, the section shows a five-star style rating display for the feedback items.

Feedback Items

Each feedback item can include:

  • Feedback Image – the image of the person
  • Big Text – the one idea that stands out from the whole feedback
  • Feedback Text – the feedback itself
  • Name – the name of the person
  • Extra Field – their occupation
  • Extra Field 2 – their website
  • Link URL – link to their website

In simple terms, this means you can show a photo, a main testimonial line, the person’s feedback, their name, extra context like role or company, and an optional link.

Breakpoints

These control how many feedback items appear across each row at different screen sizes.

Layout Type

This lets you choose how the feedback block is displayed.

  • List – a more stable layout for reading multiple testimonials.
  • Slider – a carousel-style layout.

If Slider is chosen, the slider type can be configured in the same way as other slider-based sections.

What to Write in Feedback: A Beginner Recipe

  • Kicker: Customer Feedback
  • Heading: What People Are Saying
  • Description: Real experiences from people who already tried it.
  • Big Text: Exactly what we needed.
  • Feedback Text: The setup was simple, the result was strong, and the overall experience felt smooth from start to finish. This was exactly what we needed for our office!
  • Name: Anna K.
  • Extra Field: Founder
  • Extra Field 2: North Studio

Final Note

The Feedback section is strongest when it feels credible and human. Use it to show real trust signals, not generic praise that could apply to anything.
