About Your Website Setup

So, your website is set up. Now what?

At this point, it is really about getting familiar with the system and understanding what is already available to you. We have built in a number of tools and features to make managing your site easier, faster, and less frustrating.

Here are a few things worth knowing:

WordPress Helper Layer

We added a user-friendly ‘helper layer’ on top of the default WordPress setup to make everything easier to navigate.

We added this because we know the default WordPress back-end can feel a bit awkward at first, so this should make things easier.

Here are some things that come with it:

  • a ‘pre-launch checklist’ to help you work through the important steps before your site goes live
  • a search function so you can find things faster
  • the option to save your own ‘favorite shortcodes’ for actions you use often, so you do not have to keep digging around in WordPress
  • step-by-step tutorials to help you get up to speed faster if you are still learning

Customizable Pages

We also built a section-based system for your pages, including the homepage.

That means you can build things the way you want by choosing the sections that fit your layout and filling them in.

That said, there may still be a few gaps at this stage. If you feel a key section is missing, let us know.

Sales-Focused Product Pages

One of the biggest upgrades is on the product page side.

Instead of using a basic, boring layout, the system gives you extra sections and elements that help you show off your product features and benefits in a much better way.

The goal is simple:

  • make your products look stronger
  • highlight what matters most
  • help improve conversions and sales

Additional Notes

A quick heads-up though: this system is still in its ‘early bird stage’.

So yes, expect things to change. But that is actually a good thing, because we are already planning improvements like:

  • even better product pages
  • more sections for the homepage and other pages
  • a better checkout and cart experience
  • more features across the whole site

And one more thing:

Because things move fast in the development world, we are also testing a completely new solution that could make your website even faster and more secure.

If it works the way we want it to, it could even help lower hosting costs too.

So, exciting times ahead.
